The design of this logotype draws inspiration from an in-depth study of the Small Seal Script, one of the most significant forms of ancient Chinese calligraphy, known for its elegant lines and profound cultural heritage. Reinterpreting this traditional script from a modern perspective, I skillfully integrated the letters “BYD” into the structure of the logo, showcasing the brand’s uniqueness while symbolizing BYD’s deep integration of tradition and innovation.

During the design process, I gave special consideration to practical production methods. I proposed a manufacturing approach using seamless bending of metal tubing, allowing the design language to resonate with the fabrication technique. The final form of the logo is a natural evolution of material texture and structural characteristics—an exploratory translation from calligraphic aesthetics to industrial craftsmanship.
